About Aplomado Partners

Aplomado is a Dallas-based energy investment firm focused on acquiring land and leases under solar projects throughout the United States. We provide landowners and solar developers with capital and liquidity during the life cycle of solar developments to help bring more solar projects to fruition.

Aplomado was founded in 2020 following discussions with both solar developers and our longtime investment partners. Solar developers were in need of creative capital sources to help fund a very capital-intensive business, and our investment partners were seeking ways to participate in and accelerate the development of solar energy projects. The focus on solar land and royalties allows Aplomado to use our extensive land and mineral acquisition experience to help address these needs. We are excited to work side by side with all constituents during this period of energy transition.

Our affiliate PetroCap, LLC and its predecessors have been investing in all segments of energy since 1992. Our in-house team includes land, engineering, grid, geographic information system (GIS), minerals, and finance professionals.
